Jurita Kalite, also known as Jurita Art, is a nationally recognized artist and visual historian based in London. Born in 1966 in Riga, Latvia, she initially pursued a successful career in web design before shifting her focus to fine art, where she expresses her emotions and experiences through her work.

Jurita has held solo exhibitions and received numerous art prizes, showcasing her talent in various venues outside her home country. Her work has garnered attention in both national and specialist press.

Artistic Philosophy

Jurita believes in the importance of expressing genuine feelings drawn from personal experience, life, beauty, and nature. Her art aims to capture transient moments and reflect the history of art itself.

Notable Achievements

2024: Nominated for the Festival of Learning Award in the UK.

2023: Awarded a "Highly Commended" certificate at the City Hall of Westminster, London, UK.

2021: Received a Special Diploma for personal merit and contribution to strengthening friendships among peoples from the Diplomatic Services, London, UK.

2020: Received a “Thank You” letter from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, recognizing her oil painting "My Dog Bad Boy Tyler."

2020: Received the AGSA Qualification Certificate, Professional Level 2, from The Guild Society of Artists, UK.

2019: Awarded the "Star 2019" prize by The Rt Hon Stephen Timms MP on the recommendation of Natasha Hart MBE, President of the Newham All Star Sports Academy (NASSA). Jurita attended the awards ceremony hosted in the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

2019: Founded the BadBoyLove Commendation international awards for animals, celebrating their invaluable contributions to our lives.
