Junda Wu is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, director, and cinematographer with over a decade of experience in commercials, music videos, and fashion films. Originally trained as a music major, Junda began his artistic journey in sound before transitioning into visual storytelling, where he discovered his passion for crafting emotionally rich, visually compelling narratives.
He studied film directing at UCLA Extension, where he refined his storytelling voice and visual style, drawing inspiration from works like American Horror Story, The Neon Demon, and Last Night in Soho. His films often explore themes of identity, longing, and transformation, with a focus on LGBTQ+ characters and intimate emotional journeys.
Junda has directed several acclaimed short films, including Paranoid, which premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, was a finalist at Night Frights LA, and screened at the Golden State Film Festival at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre.
