Julien Deschamps is a documentary video-maker (direction, camera, editing) born in Paris and based in Dresden for the last 6 years. His work is entirely devoted to social, ecological and cultural issues, with an ethic inspired by non-violent communication (without judgement or exclusion). His references in documentary cinema are Frederick Wiseman, Raymond Depardon and Agnès Varda, whose subjective approach always comes with an honest and responsible attitude.
Alongside his work as a documentary filmmaker, he is increasingly interested in the issue of cultural transmission, particularly among younger generations. In his film workshops, he encourages a critical eye without value judgement, and personal expression whatever the lack of means.
All his projects are carried out with a view to encouraging all kinds of cultural and personal exchanges, including the least expected, and always within a framework of empathy and solidarity.
