Julia Ostertag was born 1970 in Stuttgart, Germany
She shot her first experimental films in the early 90ies and
studied with underground film icon Birgit Hein in Braunschweig, Germany.

Julia Ostertag is director, cinematographer and editor and runs her own one-woman-film production.
Her films centre around shifting identities, transgression, subculture, gender roles and the music scene.
 They have been screened and awarded at international film festivals all over the world.
Julia Ostertag lives in Berlin.
