Meet Joseline Jean-Louis Hardrick, the multitasking dynamo who’s rewriting the script for what it means to be a modern-day legal superstar.
By day, Joseline is molding the minds of future attorneys as an Associate Professor at Cooley Law School, teaching Constitutional Law and Criminal Law. By night (and probably any other available time), she’s the founder and president of Diversity Access Pipeline, Inc., better known as Journey to Esquire ®, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting diversity and providing access to law students through scholarships, leadership programs, podcasts, and blogs and Lawyerish ® a business that emperors every legal journey.
Joseline’s journey began in Brooklyn, New York, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Fordham University. She then headed south to Florida State University College of Law, earning her Juris Doctor. Her professional path is as diverse and dynamic as she is—starting as a litigation associate with Bush Ross, P.A., serving as a federal judicial law clerk, and becoming a rising star recognized by Super Lawyers magazine.
She’s not just a lawyer and professor; she’s also a prolific author and speaker. Her works cover a range of critical issues, from positive psychology in legal education to civil rights and diversity in the legal profession. Notably, she’s published pieces on the importance of pipeline programs in diversifying the federal bench and bar, and she’s a vocal advocate for the CROWN Act in Florida, which seeks to end hair discrimination.
When she’s not in the classroom or writing, Joseline coaches and mentors the next generation of lawyers, hosts curated conversations, creates films and musicals, writes books and novels, and participates in numerous bar associations and diversity initiatives. In 2019, she received the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Diversity Award for her efforts.
On a personal note, Joseline is a proud mom and wife. She manages her family life and professional commitments with the same finesse she brings to her courtroom arguments. She’s living proof that with passion, determination, and a sense of humor, you can find joy in the journey to esquire.
