José Eduardo Sánchez Arce, Cuautitlán, Estado de México, 2001.

Realizó estudios en la carrera Diseño y Comunicación Visual en la Facultad de Artes y Diseño de la UNAM del 2019 al 2021.
Posteriormente ingreso a la carrera de Cine Digital y Postproducción en SAE Institute México.

Ha cursado talleres, cursos y diplomados, entre ellos el Diplomado de guion Tlakuiloli Lab, impartido por Catatonia Academia y Estudios Churubusco, el Diplomado Dobleces de la Imagen: arte, cine y foto documental. Honor a Elsa Medina impartido por la Escuela Nacional de Artes Cinematográficas (ENAC) y el curso Análisis de la forma fílmica, impartido por el Dr. Lauro Zavala y la Cineteca Nacional, entre muchos otros.

Durante siete años se ha desempeñado como productor y realizador en diversos cortometrajes. Participó en la VII Edición del Concurso Internacional de Videoarte Universitario “Visiones de Arte”, organizado por el Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) y Cátedra Bergman y en dos ocasiones (2019 y 2021) en el 48 Hour Film Project México.

Su cortometraje Ecos fue seleccionado en el Nahui Ollin Film Festival como parte de la selección oficial 2023 y ganó la Jacaranda de Plata a “Mejor Guion de Corto” en el Festival de Cine Universitario Deriva, donde también su documental Desde 1989, que sigue la vida y trabajo del fotógrafo mexicano Daniel Patlán, obtuvo dos menciones especiales: Mejor Diseño Sonoro y Mejor Edición. Su corto documental llego a exhibirse en distintos países entre ellos en: Taiwan, Serbia y Dinamarca.

Actualmente se encuentra en la escritura de guion de su opera prima. Su proyecto de tesis "Crónica de una falsa autostop" se encuentra en inicio de ruta de festivales y distribución.

He studied Design and Visual Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Design at UNAM from 2019 to 2021.

He subsequently enrolled in the Digital Film and Post-production program at SAE Institute México.

He has taken workshops, courses, and diplomas, including the Tlakuiloli Lab Screenwriting Diploma, taught by Catatonia Academia and Estudios Churubusco; the Diploma in Image Folds: Art, Film, and Documentary Photography. Honoring Elsa Medina, taught by the National School of Cinematographic Arts (ENAC); and the Analysis of Film Form course, taught by Dr. Lauro Zavala and the National Cineteca Mexico, among many others.

For seven years, he has worked as a producer and director on various short films. She participated in the 7th International University Video Art Competition Visions of Art organized by the Museo Universidad de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC) and Cátedra Bergman, and twice (2019 and 2021) in the 48-Hour Film Project Mexico.

His short film, Echoes was selected for the Nahui Ollin Film Festival as part of the 2023 official selection and won the Silver Jacaranda for Best Short Screenplay at the Deriva University Film Festival, where his documentary Since 1989, which follows the life and work of Mexican photographer Daniel Patlán, also received two special mentions: Best Sound Design and Best Editing. His short documentary has been screened in various countries, including Taiwan, Serbia, and Denmark.

He is currently writing the script for his debut film. His thesis project, "Chronicle of a False Hitchhike", is at the beginning of its festival and distribution journey.
