Director Jordan Martin grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, and moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma after joining the United States Air Force in 2013. He served for four years as an active-duty jet mechanic before transitioning to the Oklahoma Air National Guard in 2017. There, he started a new career as a military photo and video journalist while finishing his undergraduate in Film and Media Studies at the University of Oklahoma. He’s deployed three times to the Middle East in support of multiple operations and told the stories of countless service men and women working overseas. In 2022, he earned the title of The Department of Defense Storyteller of the Year. Jordan is currently transitioning to life as a civilian and shifting his filmmaking and storytelling efforts to depict life outside of the wire.
