Born in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, Jordan began writing and directing films in grade school using his parents’ shoulder-mount VHS Camcorder. Out of necessity, he developed an early love for practical effects, title sequences and branding for the zero-budget films.

He took a 20-year hiatus from film making to study design and advertising — going on to produce several Super Bowl commercials and campaigns for brands like Sherwin-Williams, ESPN and Nationwide Insurance. His current advertising portfolio lives at jordaneakin.com

Jordan is one half of the director team Sleakin (David Sloan + Jordan Eakin). Both were born into 80s culture and had their visual palettes molded by Ghostbusters, Back To The Future and The X-Files. They went on to earn their masters at the Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter — David in writing and Jordan in art direction. The two started producing commercial work in 2012 and never looked back.

Their first short film — Meet You In The Parking Lot — is currently in the film festival circuit.
