Jordan "T.J." Blanco is a White and Latin-(e)(x), non-binary filmmaker born in Honduras, and now based in the Midwest. Their work explores ancestral memory, mythological and folkloric origins, as well as the absurdity of life under Neo-liberalist Late Stage Capitalism through a collage-style, essayistic format. Their practice has evolved from multiple places whether it be their notes to their dead papí as a child, the angst of their high school bedroom, or their time spent as a farm worker. They oppose easy categorization as a colonialist method to map all things within borders instead of boundaries. Their work seeks to break apart the categorical in whatever form they can find it, in the hopes of building towards that other world that is not only possible, but has always been here.
