Jonathan Haff Mehring has over 20 years of experience photographing skateboarders for magazines such as Thrasher, Transworld Skateboarding, Skateboarder, and Monster Children. He became known for his unique brand of adventure travel and action photography while working as a senior photographer at Skateboarder Magazine. There he conceptualized, photographed, and wrote about skate tours he produced to places such as the Amazon, Russia along the Trans Siberian Railway, India, Bolivia, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, and riding motorbikes through Vietnam. He published his book Skate the World - Photographing One World of Skateboarding with National Geographic; a collection of photographs of the world’s top pros and skateboard culture on six continents. He currently works in advertising photography with clients including Vans, Red Bull, and Adidas. He splits his time between Richmond, VA and NYC with his wife and young son. This is his first film.
