Jonas Huerta has nearly two decades of experience in the film industry, working both above and below the line on projects that span from major studio features such as Avengers: Endgame, Bird Box, and Army of the Dead to award-winning independent shorts. Inspired early on by his favorite film, Clerks, Jonas pursued filmmaking with the goal of telling stories that not only entertain but also resonate deeply with audiences.
His most recent short, Hitori, showcases his love for blending the traditions of classic horror with the unique atmosphere of Japanese horror. The project has already garnered recognition on the festival circuit and is currently in development as his first theatrical feature debut.
In addition to directing, Jonas brings a wide range of experience as a visual storyteller, having worked in multiple departments across the industry, including visual effects. His collaborative spirit extends beyond set as well—he works closely with his wife, Abigail, a talented editor, whose artistry and vision help bring his projects to life.

Jonas worked in the VFX department on Finch and added a personal Easter egg. At the end of the film, when Jeff hangs his photo on the Golden Gate Bridge, you can spot a picture of Jonas and his wife hiking the Grand Canyon.
I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work
