Jonah Steeman (BE-1988) is an experimental filmmaker and composer. He graduated as master in visual arts, from LUCA school of arts in Ghent. His work consists of absurdist pastiches of art historical and socio-cultural elements, connected with an esoteric undertone, in which he disrupts the syntax of western visual tradition, yet within a seemingly nonsensical consistency. Intrigued by iconography, the mystical and psychological subjectivity, he uses his work as puzzle pieces to construct a metaphorical world of Eurasian pastiche.
