Jon Jon Rivero is a Filipino-Canadian award-winning actor, director, and producer who is best known for his feature film documentary Balikbayan: From Victims To Survivors (2020), which won the Audience Choice Awards for Best Feature Documentary at the 2020 Edmonton International Film Festival. Jon Jon is also known for playing himself in Season 2 of the award-winning APTN docu-series Queen of the Oil Patch (2020) as the occupational therapist and life coach to Massey Whiteknife on APTN.
Jon Jon has also produced, written, directed, and starred in Noj Noj & Friends (2020), a live-action children's TV pilot that combines hip hop music videos with edutainment storytelling. Jon Jon has also acted in many commercials and has written, performed and composed music for jingles and done voice overs for various brand campaigns released both through broadcasting and online. Jon Jon is also an accomplished spoken word artist, beatboxer, and a cappella singer and is the 2016 TED Summit Talent Showcase winner.
Jon Jon is a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers and the Global Speakers Federation and does keynotes all over the world on using strengths and talents to serve others in need. Jon Jon is co-author of the internationally acclaimed children's illustrated book, My Name Is Trauma. Jon Jon is also Filipino Martial Arts Practitioner and a 5th Dan Master of Taekwondo who wants to inspire people to express their awesome selves in safe and productive ways. Jon Jon lives in Edmonton, AB, Canada, with his wife Paula Audrey Rivero and his two children.
