Dear readers,

my name is John Plas and I am an actor/writer/director. 

I strongly believe in the power of collaboration and my aspiration is to be able to work on qualitative Film and Television projects which will be able to reach a global audience. 

I do have experience in working with Studio features, Independent Features and Television. 

At this point, I would like to mention that I recently became an Associate Member of the Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA-Acting Chapter).
In addition, in 2018 I was asked to be cast in the TV Show INSIDE EDGE, which has been nominated for an Emmy Award.
It is noteworthy to mention that I have undergone stunt training.
 
-One of the short films I co-directed was recently screened in Central London as part of Raindance Film Festival (Open Shorts). Another film called "Pandemic Cupid'' where I star in has been screened during the recent Cannes Film Festival.

-I recently walked for London Fashion Week 2023, 2024 and Paris Fashion Week. 
-I am Distribution Director of the feature film "FRAMED" or "Prisionera del Lente" which is released in cinemas in many countries, including Spain and the US. It is starring Hector Soberon and Gaby Borges. Hector Soberon is very well known within Spanish speaking audiences. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

I am pleased to say that I co-directed the Official Documentary about the life of King Charles III. It was broadcast during Coronation Day. It is available on the YouTube Channel of Costa Rica Canal 13.  Several countries have the royalties of release and will broadcast the Documentary. I also handled the Agreements with Global Television Stations.

Multiple News Agencies wrote Articles and reported on the Documentary such as CNN, ABC News, HELLO Magazine. These Articles mentioned me as the Director and some of them posted photos of me!  

- Participation in FILMART 2023, BFI Shorts Lab 2023, RIFF Talent Lab 2022, BFI Film Academy. I recently became a member of the National Film Academy. 

The short film '' LAMAZE CLASSES '' that I wrote, directed and starred in has been the Official Selection, Semi-Finalist and Finalist at 90 Film Festivals up to this date and released by American Platform TROMA NOW. The Toxic Avenger will be released by TROMA soon. One of the Film Festivals is the "Best of Latin America Short Film Festival" and it is Oscar Qualifying.

My feature film screenplay RESURRECTION is the Award Winner at "Only The Best Film Festival ''. I recently participated at the Reykjavik IFF Talent Lab where I was received by the President of Iceland and I would like to mention that I have been a member of the pre-selection committee at the Oscar Qualifying Bermuda International Film Festival.

I made it to the poster of a Hollywood Film, BASTILLE DAY or THE TAKE. I was invited to 15 fashion shows during London Fashion Week SS24. 

As an actor I Iove performing in many accents. I have undergone training in martial arts and kick-boxing. I have also had some training in Visual effects, special effects, ADR, 3-D replacement, handling cameras and grip. Fortunately, I have acquired some knowledge in marketing and distribution of feature films and TV Series.
