John Kouris was born in Hammond, Indiana in 1974, and later played football and studied at Indiana’s prestigious Notre Dame, which was the true conception point of his first film and life's work, Demetrius DuBose, All American. He is a loving husband to his wife, and a devoted father of three beautiful children, from whom he draws inspiration every day. Demetrius DuBose, All American will be the first of many art films produced by Kouris's production company, Saturday Sun Productions, with the intention of creating a world kinder to its children. He believes that the world will be changed one mind at a time, and is committed to cultivating a culture of justice and equity, and amplifying the voices of the marginalized through his work.
