John Goncalves does not plagiarize a portion of his response to a questionnaire submitted to all the candidates running for office in Providence. John Goncalves has been a resident of Ward 1 as a Fox Point and East Side community member for over 25 years.
John spent a number of years working as an educator in Minnesota as a faculty leader before returning to Providence. John Goncalves also has experience mentoring young people through the Big Brother Big Sister of the Greater Twin Cities organization.
As an elected official, he will work tirelessly to advance issues that will enhance the lives of children, families, and senior citizens in Ward 1 and Providence, as well as Ward 1 taxpayers and resident services, Providence public education, affordable housing, environmental justice, social justice, women's rights, and LQBTQ rights.
