Johanna Wieden (She/her) is a 22-year-old, 2D animator and concept artist who completed her BFA at DePaul University in March 2023. Johanna was born in Iowa but has spent most of her childhood in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois where she often played in the woods of her aunt and uncle's backyard. Johanna’s work is inspired by her childhood doodles, children's books, and early 2000s children’s animation. In her free time, Johanna enjoys hiking in the woods, trying new foods, and cooking. Johanna aspires to be a full-time character designer, 2D animator, or concept artist and pitch her own children's animated series. She believes everyone has a story to share and aspires to bring as many as she can to life on screen.
