Joaquín Ritter, an emerging film director, took his first steps in this art form through audiovisual experiments in 2020, developing his career in a self-taught and independent manner. In 2022, he embarked on his first short film, THE LAST APPLE, which has won awards and participated in several festivals both nationally and internationally. It premiered at the Portland EcoFilm Festival in the United States in 2023, received the Special Jury Prize at the Rengo International Film Festival (2023), and won the "work in progress" category at the Ovalle Film Festival (2022). Along the way, he has garnered excellent public reception, collecting multiple festival selections including; FESCISA (San Antonio Independent Film Festival) in Ecuador, TINFF (Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival) in Canada, and FECIR (Rengo International Film Festival) in Chile.
