Jiwoo Kim is a Korean animator based in Calgary. She graduated from the Alberta University of the Arts with a Bachelor of Design and a minor in Animation. Her passion for animation comes from its power to engage and connect with audiences. Through her artistic practice, Jiwoo retells everyday life and struggles in absurd and comical ways, offering new perspectives on how to navigate challenging situations. Her debut film Cowman tells a love story between a farmer and his beloved cow, who undergo a dramatic transformation after an alien abduction and learn to love each other more deeply than ever.
