Jitin Hingorani builds films that travel — across borders, markets, and cultures.
With 28+ years across media, festivals, and production, he operates at the intersection of India, the diaspora, and the global screen economy. He is a producer and content strategist focused on sourcing, developing, packaging, and financing Indo-hyphenated stories with international potential — from feature films and prestige series to documentaries and shorts.
Jitin’s producing credits include Executive Producer on the acclaimed feature documentary CALL ME DANCER, which enjoyed a major international festival run, North American theatrical release, and a PBS broadcast across the United States. His credits also include ZENDE, THE SUPERCOP (Associate Producer), BACK THEN: THE STORY OF LIVE MUSIC IN BOMBAY (Creative Producer), IMPURE (Associate Producer), NIGHT QUEEN (Creative Producer), BLESSINGS (Associate Producer), ZIDDH (Associate Producer), and DINNER FOR LONERS (Creative Producer).
His FIRST feature film as Creative Producer, CHHELEDHORA (KIDNAPPER), begins production March 2026 in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh; it is fully financed through a U.S.-based investor he independently secured and structured — underscoring his strength in packaging and capital strategy.
In 2023, Jitin served as Head of Programming at NFDC Film Bazaar, Asia’s largest film market funded by the Government of India. He curated the Knowledge Series and oversaw key verticals including the Screenwriters Lab, Book to Box Office, VFX & Tech Pavilion, Work-in-Progress Lab, and Viewing Room — shaping industry conversations around the business of cinema.
He has programmed for Tribeca, SXSW (Austin and Sydney), New York Indian Film Festival, Kashish Queer Film Festival, and I-View World Film Festival, and founded the Dallas/Fort Worth South Asian Film Festival, recognized by the Governor of Texas as the “Most Innovative Small Business in Texas.”
A former entertainment reporter/news anchor and founder of JINGO Media, a boutique public relations firm focused on garnering earned, mainstream media coverage for South Asian films, arts, entertainment, and fashion brands, Jitin understands both the creative and commercial sides of storytelling.
He splits his time between Mumbai and Texas — building bridges between Hollywood, Bollywood, and the global diaspora.
