im, a teacher of special needs education in Belfast, entered the Northern Irish film scene with quite an impact in 2014 when his debut short, Spots, picked up the Director’s award at the Film Devour Short Film Festival in Belfast. Multi-talented Jim is an associate producer and co-composer on the indie feature Braxton Butcher (dir. Leo McGuigan). In 2015 his second short, Photobomb, received worldwide attention following screenings at several international film festivals and picked up several awards.
Jim has also seen success as a composer for other projects including Storyland Web Series Farr (2015), indie-short Peni’s From Heaven (2017), and The Hangman (2018).
Recently, Jim has won several awards for his short film The Visitor and for his first funded short Upside which won numerous awards, including Best Short Film at the Colorado disABILITY Film, Best International Film at the CDFF festival, and Best Drama at Trí Rivers Film Festival.
Currently, Jim is developing several projects and is in production on his debut feature documentary.
