In 2021, director Jim Hendricks began his career in film production to provide further vehicles for visual expression and storytelling.
His first works were two music videos followed by two short films ("The Note You Didn't Read" and "Gloria"). He then worked as the script editor and acting coach for the short film "Flat Spot." During the summer of 2025, Hendricks completed his first feature-length screenplay while filming the comedy short "Not a Time Loop." He finished his second feature-length screenplay in the fall of 2025.
Jim Hendricks is currently Professor of Music at Chicago State University, where he is Director of Piano and Keyboard Studies. He is also artistically involved as a novelist, music composer/arranger, and stage and film actor.
