Overall, I’m an artist. I love creating to build community, truth, and kindness.
Whether it’s comedy, horror, or a leather skirt I tore up and threw on a canvas – I want to share history using politics and religion and make the dinner table feel compelled, not disarmed.
Art is in itself such a vulnerable state that it throws your soul on its knees before the audience, giving them the audacity to listen and relate.
Film - Mainly comedy sketches. I grew popularity in the film fest circuit through "Paint Buddies" with the talented Courtney Enea. I remember my IT guy at Paramount recognized my name. My dream is to be on SNL with my brother watching.
Theater - My best bill was Elizabeth Benning from Young Frankenstein. She is my spirit animal.
One directorial debut in theater was adapting a one-woman show by Alan Rickman entitled "My Name is Rachel Corrie" into a play with 48 characters played by 12 actors, also the chorus, a la "I'm Not There" (Bob Dylan biographical adaptation) within three weeks, with sensory, an art show, and a Q&A. It was a huge success.
