I’m a former SFX makeup artist, turned producer, turned writer and director. I produced my first feature film when I was nineteen for my now husband/creative partner. Richard Valentine, who is himself an award winning writer and filmmaker. I was fortunate enough that when I decided to pursue writing and directing in 2014, I had Richard as a mentor. My first time out the gate I won the Jameson First Shot Film Competition in 2014 which allowed me also to direct my award winning screenplay. JUMP! stars Uma Thurman, Barak Hardly, Anthony Ray Parker and Phillip Abrams and was produced by Dana Brunetti. After that, Richard and I decided to attempt co-writing/directing and lucky for us we not only survived, we thrived in this new dynamic. As writers the work is split down the middle and as directors the division of labor is simple, Richard takes care of the actors and performance and I orchestrate the sounds, the look and the overall design of the entire production. We were thrilled to push our partnership to the next level and flexed our new dynamic in a ten hour shoot for our latest short/proof of concept, Lane 9, which is making the festival rounds. Our other feature project, The Devil’s Crown, is currently being shopped.
