Jennifer originally trained in theatre, television and advertising agencies in NZ and migrated to Australia as a permanent resident working as an art / creative director.
Through her consultancy JAM Directions, she has written and directed corporate, health, medical, fitness, government video and TV Pilot productions.
Her first film production which she directed and co-wrote, a 7 minute short film - ‘Not Not Now’ was an official selection at two USA Film Festivals between 1999 - 2000.
With a growing passion for filmmaking Jennifer studied film and gained her Advanced Diploma in Screen and Media in 2011. Around the same time she worked for several years with WOW Film Festival NSW as a creative direction / design consultant, creating image, print, ads, website and cinema trailers for the festival.
In 2012 she was contracted by Asia Geographic to do Post Production design and creative consulting for a feature length medical documentary.
Since then Jennifer conceived the idea of telling her mother’s story, 'Elena’s War Dance' as writer/ director/ producer.
To assist her production efforts she trained with AFTRS taking a Tom Zubrycki master documentary course and other directing producing modules with AFTRS and MetroScreen.
More recently she has completed dozens of classes with Masterclass including: Ken Burns, Werner Hertzog, Martin Scorsese, David Mamet and Ron Howard.
