Jeffrey Wengrofsky has directed, written, and produced ten short documentaries on figures in the cultural underground of the Lower East Side of New York City. The Song of Hiawatha is his first feature-length film.
The Producer of The Song of Hiawatha, Steven Blush, is best known for the film and book, American Hardcore, in addition to authoring eight oral histories of 20th century American music.
