Javid Banday is an internationally acclaimed writer, producer, and director, born and brought up in Kashmir, lived and worked in India, UAE, and currently lives in Canada since 2006. Over the years, Javid has obtained extensive experience in radio, television, and film productions while working with state and private owned production houses world over.

Javid started his career as Transmission Executive (programs) from All India Radio (Indian Public Service Broadcaster), and moved to UAE to serve in Dubai Television (One TV Channel) before migrating to Canada in 2006. Javid did a postgraduate diploma in Advanced Television and Film Productions (ATVF) from Sheridan College, Canada. In 2010 Javid formed his media production company in 2010, Mediamark International Corp. that's became a trusted source in the television, advertising, and film industry.

Javid has written, directed, and produced around 1000 TV Shows, 40 Ad films, three short films, and six feature films, including his directorial debut "Footprints." "Footprints" traveled to prestigious film festivals in the world, bagged 23 nominations with 8 international awards including, best feature film, best producer, best script, best filmmaker and best cinematography. His short film "The Stranger" got nominated at Cannes film festival in 2016. Javid also got national award for writing and directing an award winning documentary "He was a Reality", based on the life and works of eminent short story writer Saadat Hasan Manto.

Javid's upcoming projects includes "The Immigrant" and "The Last Candidate. The immigrant has already bagged best script awards at "Toronto Film and Script Awards", Hollywood International Golden Age Festival Awards and also got nominated at "Jaipur International Film Festival-JIFF"
