Jasper Heinrichs was born in Cologne in 1999 and made his first short film in a literature class at school. After graduating from high school, he spent nine months working on a Slovenian film and media project.
In 2020, he completed a one-year internship at a film production company in Cologne, where he continued to work until spring 2022. The following October, Jasper began studying film at Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In 2024, he went on another Erasmus exchange, this time to Barcelona, where he produced his next short film, Towels, in 2025. In the same year, he and Jan Schuenke shot the documentary film "Gjithmonë Gati" about the culture of remembrance and bunkers in Albania, which was completed in early 2026.
