Director's Biography-Jason Willemse

Jason Willemse is a South African actor renowned for his portrayal of Cameron Jansen in the e.tv soap opera Scandal!. He earned a diploma from Northlink College in Cape Town in 2006, covering various subjects such as entrepreneurship, business management, marketing management, and computer skills. He began his studies in drama at Northlink, completing the first year of a National Certificate before finishing the diploma at Tshwane University of Technology. His acting education was further enhanced under the guidance of esteemed actress and drama coach Dorothy Ann Gould.

Jason made his television debut in 2012 with a guest role in the SABC1 sitcom City Ses'la. The following year (2013), he secured a recurring role as Cameron Jansen on Scandal. Jason also starred as Abdoel Arendse in the kykNET drama series Vlug na Egipte (Flight to Egypt), which aired in 2015. In 2015, he appeared as Riaan Huisman in the SABC3 drama series Roer Jou Voete (Move Your Feet). After departing from Scandal! in 2016, Jason took on a recurring role as Clifford in the SABC1 soap Generations: The Legacy. He has also featured in several kykNET short films, including Skrikkeljaar and Die Webley. In 2021, he starred as Wendell in the SABC1 telenovela uBettina Wethu, inspired by the international series Ugly Betty.

Furthermore, Jason also starred in multiple TV adverts for various brands, often filling the lead role.

Animation and video editing
Jason taught himself how to do animation and video editing by watching various YouTube tutorials and using the limited resources that he had. He recently completed a short animated film that got nominated for 2 awards. He won one award so far for this particular project.

Directing
Being a professional actor for over 14 years, Jason is well-versed in directing as well and started exploring this field in the TV and film industry.
