I have an immense love for the silver screen. My entire life consists of watching movie after movie, completely immersed. After years of admiring, learning and absorbing from the greats, my desire to become the story teller became reality.
Jason J. Eliot was born in Hartford, Connecticut. His parents would move the family to a small town in Vermont when he was 7 years old. Vermont would not only be his physical home for many years but his spiritual and inspirational one as well.
Despite living a rather Spartan existence during his formative years, Jason and his closest friend would use the outdoors as their playground, a wealth of experience that stood in contrast to the experience of not having material wealth. Streams, rivers and a massive lake were a tableau on which much of his later art would be inspired.
Eliot’s daily life consisted of fishing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, boating and camping. In school, Jason was an award-winning athlete and would eventually join the Untied States Air Force. After completing his service, this Veteran would return to Vermont and start a rock band with his lifelong friends. To this day, he sings and plays guitar, and is known as JOSTEL in the music world.
Jason’s peripatetic passion to explore and travel took him all over the United States, including Hollywood, California and his now current location of New York City. He attributes his worldly nature, being cognizant of all social strife and the current issues the world faces, to his travels.
Through his experiences and the friendships made along the way, Jason has always tried to live a true and meaningful life, mentoring and helping those in need. Currently when not writing or filming he works as a Supervisor for a level 5 General Contracting Company— two of his projects have been featured in Architectural Digest.
Jason has a tremendous love for all animals, especially his rescued birds, cat and dogs. He helps with animal rescue as much as possible, and helped raise money and awareness for Island dogs in the Bahamas by producing a documentary called 'It's a Potcake Life'. Jason's love for animals is highlighted by his writing and directing debut, “Tales of a Scorpio's Stinger.”
Eliot also created the artwork and movie poster. He performed, recorded and produced two songs on the soundtrack of TOASS. As a passionate connoisseur of the horror genre, his steadfast goal has been to make movies that produce social awareness, relying on symbolism and fear to convey his message— a creative bent born out of adventurous pastimes spent exploring his native Vermont.
