James McSherry is writer/filmmaker living and working in New York City. His memoir "A Clean Street's A Happy Street" has been adapted for the screen and is being shopped around. He is currently writing a television series about the New York City public school system. His first short film "Poetry Man" starring Peter Green won various awards including the Audience Award at The Manhattan Film Festival and screened at the Short Film Corner at Cannes. He has taught writing and film at The School of Visual Arts, Mercy College and Herbert H. Lehman High School in the Bronx.
