James Henry is an actor and writer living in New York City. He attended West Point and served in the Army as an Infantry Officer and Ranger with two tours to Afghanistan. After leaving the Army, James attended NYU's Tisch Graduate Acting Program where he received a Masters in Acting in May 2021. His acting credits include Madam Secretary, FBI, Hunters, Sirens and The Creator starring John David Washington.
As a writer, James has written and produced several award winning short films including The Reappraisal, winner for best comedy/short film in the Focus International, Marcellus, Transparent and Movie Toast festivals. In 2022, James was a finalist for Adam Driver's Bridge Award for playwrighting for his play There Is No Eden, which was later produced off-Broadway at Theater for the New City in New York. James' screenplays and TV pilots have won several awards at festivals. His most recent TV pilot, The Rail, was a semi-finalist in the Cinequest screenwriting competition in 2024.
