Jakarta Culture Cinema is a short film festival that specifically showcases cultural advancement projects from around the world. This event was initiated by Culture Department of DKI Jakarta and Kampung Sinema.
The festival is divided into three programs:

1. Jakarta Culture Cinema Fund
Funding and mentoring for short film production specifically for Jakarta residents.

2. Jakarta Culture Cinema
Film screenings featuring cultural advancement projects.

3. Jakarta Culture Cinema Fest
A short film competition open to filmmakers who explore cultural issues.

The theme of this first edition of Jakarta Culture Cinema is "Celebrating Culture," which can be interpreted as a sense of human pride in culture.

Filmmakers are given the freedom to tell stories about culture in short films of various genres as an expression of their concern for culture.

JAKARTA CULTURE CINEMA FEST PRIZES
The jury will select 10 production teams with the best story ideas.

The selected production teams will receive:
1. Production funding of IDR 50,000,000
2. Production mentoring from professionals

JAKARTA CULTURE CINEMA FEST PRIZES
In the short film competition, the jury will select films in several categories with prizes of:

1. Best Film IDR 25,000,000
2. Best Director IDR 20,000,000
3. Best Actor IDR 15,000,000
4. Best Screenwritter IDR. 15,000,000
5. Best Art Director IDR 12,500,000
6. Best Editor IDR. 12,000,000
7. Best International Film IDR 25,000,000

JAKARTA CULTURE CINEMA FUND REGULATIONS

1. The applicant team must consist of a minimum of three members from the production team.
2. One member of the production team must be a resident of DKI Jakarta, as evidenced by a Resident Identity Card (KTP) or DKI Jakarta Student Card.
3. One member of the core team must have been involved in the production of at least one short film in any position, as evidenced by the inclusion of a link in the proposal.
4. Applicants must be able to prepare a production Budget Plan (RAB).
5. The accepted film type is a short fiction film.
6. The final short film must include English subtitles in Srt format.
7. The film must be a minimum of 10 minutes and a maximum of 15 minutes long.
8. The film must address an issue of cultural advancement. This information can be found at dinaskebudayaan.jakarta.go.id or on the Instagram account @jakartaculturecinema.
9. The production location must be within the DKI Jakarta Province.
10. Each production team must submit a short film story idea proposal to the website www.jakculturecinema.id with the following information:
- Title
- Synopsis
- Treatment/script (optional)
- Story setting plan (with photos)
- Character characteristics and references for potential actors
- Curriculum vitae of each core team member (producer, director, Director of Production) with links to previous film work
- 2-month production timeline
- Production Budget Plan (RAB)
- Contact person
11. Participants may submit more than one proposal;
12. The selection team will select 20 proposals to participate in the pitching process, which will then be narrowed down to 10 proposals as Jakarta Culture Cinema Fund winners;
13. The jury's decision is final.

JAKARTA CULTURE CINEMA FEST RULES

1. The film's theme is "Celebrating Culture."
2. The film must feature at least one cultural advancement object from the participant's region (for Jakarta, the Jakarta cultural advancement object must be displayed, which can be found on the website dinaskebudayaan.jakarta.go.id or on the Instagram account @jakartaculturecinema).
3. The film must be between 10 and 15 minutes long, including the opening credits.
4. It must be an original story.
5. It must not contain elements (music/songs/material) that violate copyright or are subject to disputes.
6. It must not contain material that is offensive to ethnicity, religion, race, or intergroup relations (SARA), pornography, immoral acts, explicit scenes of violence, or political or terrorist interests.
7. The work must be produced between 2024 and 2026.
8. All film content is the responsibility of the participant/filmmaker.
9. Any film genre is allowed.
10. Participants can submit their entries through Filmfreeway or through the website www.jakculturecinema.id by completing the registration form provided on the website.
