Jacqueline Albarella

Jacqueline Albarella is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, artist and writer.
She is the founder of Albarella Media, a woman-owned independent media company based in Buffalo, NY. Her documentaries have dealt with the issues of homeless women and children, group homes for the developmentally disabled, the Special Olympics, and the restoration of The Hotel Lafayette. They have aired on ABC, USA Network, Comcast, and WNED/PBS Buffalo/Toronto.
Her recent work includes the film, Defying Death on the Atlantic and the pilot for an on-demand series in development, The Suitcase.
Jackie’s corporate work as a director has taken her across the country and to Ireland, the UK and Hawaii. Clients include; Fisher Price/Mattel, Rich Products, The NYS Center for Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, AIDS Community Services, and Kraft Foods. She was the producer/host for a 52-week garden series that aired nationally and in several local broadcast markets.
She is an accomplished photographer with several one woman exhibits to her credit and pieces in many private collections. She is the author of six books.
Albarella’s awards include the New York State Broadcasters Award, multiple National Telly Awards, Professional Communicators Award and the National Garden Writers Association Award for broadcasting. In 2022 Albarella was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
