Jackie has spent more than 30 years working in the communications industry, but she’s new to the world of screenwriting. Since she learns best by spending time with people who are smarter than she, Jackie joined the board of directors for the Cordillera International Film Festival. This non-profit organization has a mission to bring emerging, established and future filmmakers together with diverse audiences.

That affiliation has been inspiring and she's written three full-length features and a handful of shorts since joining the board in 2019. Working with some members of the board (producer, actor, DP, costumes), she completed her first short film in August 2021.

For her day job, she owns a marketing firm — Jax Marketing & Communications — helping companies and non-profits thrive through the power of creativity and strategic communications.
