Jack grew up in Brisbane, Australia. He went to the University of Queensland to study writing, then moved to Sydney to pursue an acting career, where he was featured in several film and television roles. Although enjoying his time on set, he felt the need to develop a process, and upon being accepted into the Howard Fine Acting Studio, he moved to Melbourne. Despite his love for acting, his desire to make films led him to complete a master’s in film and television at VCA, where he made his graduate film, Ruby and Tom Take a Cake to a Wedding.
