J.D. Gonzales is a Director/DP living in Denver, Colorado with a background in film and education. His career began after receiving his B.A. in Moving Image Arts from Santa Fe University of Art and Design. After working in New Mexico on an assortment of short and feature films, he taught film at Denver School of the Arts in Denver, Colorado. During and after his time teaching, JD worked with production companies in New York and Colorado as a gaffer, cinematographer, and producer. In 2019, J.D. started his own production company to push diversity and inclusivity in the film industry while also freelancing. Since then, he’s worked on production teams filming Astronaut Scott Kelly, Megan Thee Stallion, Peyton Manning, and has produced content for large-scale clients such as National Mail Handlers, TTEC, SAP Litmos, and Ovation TV. J.D. and his fiancée are currently running the festival circuit with their short film “Open Up”.
