The Association "ARTS ET METIERS" “ ARTS AND CRAFTS” organizes the twelfth edition of the International Student Film Festival (FIFE) under the motto "Freedom" in collaboration with the IHB Art Media Institute, in Casablanca.
From 12 to 15 December 2023 Casablanca
This new edition offers a space for sharing ideas and experiences, presenting the latest in the audiovisual field, this event provides an opportunity to showcase the productions of young talents and responds to the desire to open up to all filmic experiences from here and elsewhere (documentary films, fiction films, animation films).

Compétition Entry Rules

1. Objectives:

In collaboration with Art Media Institute (IHB), Art & Craft Association organizes the International Student Film Festival (FIFE). The event aims at promoting dialogue and cultural exchange among students from all around the world.

2. Spirit of the films:

The Festival Board limits its selection of films (fiction, documentary, animation 2d and 3d) that:

• Highlight the importance of dialogue and tolerance between people.
• Use of originality and innovation in approaching current issues.
• Promote cultural diversity
• Fight prejudice, discrimination and intolerance.
• Promote the right to cultural difference and dialogue.

3. Eligible Candidates :

Alumniand Final Year Students.
One film per each selected candidate.

4. Jury:

The festival management will designate a jury panel from among renowned film professionals.

5 - Prize:

The festival jury awardsthree prizes for each category:
"Animation Film: 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Fiction Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Documentary Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.

6 - Other Conditions:

Format: Films must be submittedin DVD format
Duration: 2 to 15 minutes.

Visibility: Films should displayat the opening and final creditslogos of their respective
institutions.

Content: Views, thoughts and opinions expressed in the film belong solely to the author and
not necessarily to the festival board and organizers.

7 - Registration:

Submission is limited to 2 films per student.
Films and the following documentsshould be sent by mail:

• Application form completed and signed.
• Technical Data Sheet
• Film synopsis
• Director’s photo
• Film poster
• A copy of diploma or certificate of attendance.

N.B. Shipment is at the responsibilityof the candidate.

Contest Rules

1. Objectives:

International Film Festival of the Student (FIFE) is an audiovisual manifestationorganized by the Association of“ARTSETMETIERS” in collaboration with IHB ART MEDIAInstitute. This pedagogical and creative event aims at promoting dialogue and exchange between students from around the world through all genres of cinematic image.

2. The spirit of the films:

The Artistic Directorial of the festival provides selection of films (fiction, documentary, animation 2d and 3d) with a special attention to works that:

Highlight the importance of dialogue and tolerance in relations between peoples.
Wear a fresh original and innovative look on topical issues
Help broaden knowledge and understanding of other cultures in order to fight against prejudices, clichés, stereotypes, sources of conflicts and misunderstandings.
Address the collective imagination and mutual representations; value the right to difference and dialogue.

3. Competition Section :

The competition includes the following section:
Films made alumni or students in their last year of training. Artistic directorate of the film festival selects a film for each candidate.
4. Jury:

The Festival organizing committee will choose a jury of professionals and personalities from film and television who will judge students’ films.
5 - Prize:

The festival jury will award 3 prizes this year for these cinematic categories:
"Animation Film: 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Fiction Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
"Documentary Film": 1st prize, 2nd prize, 3rd prize.
The prices of these categories are awarded by the Association “ARTS ET METIERS(Arts and Crafts)”.

6 - Other Conditions:

Genres accepted: All genres are accepted (fiction, documentary, animation).
Length: the length of the films should be between 2 and 15 minutes.
Formats: The films must be submitted exclusively to the Art directorial in video format "DVD"
Visibility: Participants should insert logos of their institutions training at the opening credits of their films.
Content: The content of the film is the sole responsibility of the author's name and can in no way be interpreted as reflecting the position of the direction of the festival.
7 - Registration of candidates:

The application form should be downloaded, completed and signed.
Participation is limited to 2 films per student.
Films must be sent by post, accompanied by:
MSDS sheet and film synopsis, 2 photos portrait of the author, movie poster, some scenes of the film, a copy of diploma or certificate of attendance.
Shipping DVD movies are the responsibility of the candidates who are responsible for the copyright.

Deadline for submitting films is septembre 20th, 2023
