The International Filmmaker Festival of New York is a global industry event held annually in the world’s most iconic center of arts, New York City. Each year, the IFFNY festival brings to New York world premieres of films from around the globe, and gives the American audience unique opportunities to discover international cinema.

The mission of IFFNY Festival is to promote and aid the development of the international cinema and film authors. Our goal is to act as the main meeting point where international cinema converges in a spirit of cooperation and cultural exchange through the presentation of the finest and most recent achievements in world cinema.
Each year IFFNY presents Red Carpet screenings of feature, short films, documentary, animation & music videos , followed by Q&A, workshops, reception with artists and organizers, VIP afterparty and Award Night Gala.

- Best Feature Film Award
- Best Short Film Award
- Best feature Documentary Film
- Best short Documentary Film
- Best Actor Award
- Best Actress Award
- Best Screenplay Award
- Best cinematography Award
- Best Animation
- Best Music video

Rules & Terms

Rules and Regulations:

*Filmmakers from around the world who have produced feature films, short films, or documentary films within the last 7 years are entitled to apply to the International Filmmaker Festival of New York.

*Festival has Competition Program and Promotional Program.

*All non English projects should be in English Subtitles.

* Feature films must be more than 40 minutes.

*Short films must not exceed 40 minutes.

*Animation must not exceed 15 minuses.

*Music videos must not exceed 10 minutes.

*Not acceptable projects are:
Projects without English subtitles,
Projects with technique problems,

*Once the film has been selected and the results are published, it cannot be withdrawn from the festival program.

*The festival can use your material for promotional purposes and to compile the festival catalog. The festival bears no responsibility for any inaccuracies or errors in submitted materials.

*By accepting to be part of our Festival, participants grant permission to be included in the festival video trailer or in any other arrangements that have been made with the Festival.

* The Festival will award 10 (ten) prizes
Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best feature Documentary Film, Best short Documentary Film , Best Actor Award, Best Actress Award, Best Screenplay Award, Best Animation, Best Music video and Best cinematography Award.

*The application fee should be submitted at the same time as your submission, and it is non-refundable.

*If your film receives an award at our festival, a member of your team or an official representative should be present in the room to accept the award statue. If no one is available to accept it in person, we can ship the statue to you for a fee to cover shipping and handling costs.

Please note, we do not send certificates. You will receive the official festival laurel.

* The festival will cover the cinema costs for the presentation of the film. All other personal expenses during the festival should be covered by the participant.

The festival was exceptionally well-organized, with a perfect theater setting that showcased each film with excellent sound and projection quality.     The Dolby theater is a fantastic venue! Wonderful films from all over the wold and all very interesting and high quality. Festival Director Mrika and everyone on board were so nice and accommodating...we all felt very welcomed. It was an honor to bring home the award for Best Short Film and to be included in a festival with so many awesome films and filmmakers. Hope to be back in the future.
