The Festival will be held in Rivoli (TO) from 01/10/2025 to 05/10/2025.
1)Participation procedure
The competition is open to directors, producers and distributors of all levels, and new gifted persons.
Admitted to the competition as follow:
a)short films with a maximum duration of 20 minutes including opening and closing credits;
b)no language short films with a maximum duration of 20 minutes including opening and closing credits;
c)feature films with a minimum duration of 70 minutes including opening and closing credits;
d)(shorts) documentaries with a maximum duration of 20 minutes including opening and closing credits;
e)(long) documentaries with a minimum duration of 45 minutes including opening and closing credits.
f)“Out of Competition” Category:
2 short films;
2 documentaries (1 long, 1 short);
1 feature film.
For the duration of films please consult the categories in competition.
WORKS THAT WIN THE PRIZE FOR BEST FILM AND BEST DOCUMENTARY WILL BE ENTITLED TO ACCESS TO THE OSCARS SHORTLISTING.
2)Genres
The following typologies are allowed in all the above categories:

These requests should not be considered "limits" but become a challenge for screenwriters, directors and actors creativity and constitute the peculiarity of a sector of this festival.
3) Festival Submission
Festival Submission must be done exclusively through the FILMFREEWAY, FESTHOME, WFCN platforms and will start on 24/12/2024.
Submission has two deadlines:
First deadline: 30/04/2025 - expected registration fee 5 euros for shorts, 10 euros for feature;
Second deadline: 30/06/2025 - expected registration fee 10 euros for shorts, 15 euros for feature.
In case of admission to the official selection, is required an administration fee of 10 euros and NO LATER THAN 15th August 2025. The following material must be sent to the management Festival (segreteria.iffr@gmail.com) NO LATER THAN SAME DATE:
a)film video file in MOV, MP4 1920X1080 format;
b)movies trailer video file in MOV, MP4, 1920X1080 format (1 min. for films with a maximum duration of 20 min; 2 min. for feature films and long documentaries);
c)N° 3 photos about the film in jpg format;
d)movie poster in jpg format;
e)movie synopsis max 1000 characters.
The administration fee payment must have these references:

4) Guidelines
a) WORKS OF A PORNOGRAPHIC NATURE, CONSISTING OF EXTREMIST POLITICAL AND/OR RELIGIOUS THEMES AND AGAINST PUBLIC MORALITY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
b) Rivoli International Film Festival internal board, entirely composed of film industry experts, will draw up the official selection after examining the works submitted for shortlisting within the prescribed deadlines. The board judgement is unquestionable in this as in all phases of the event. Directors/productions/distributors will receive communication of their possible admission to the official selection of the Festival by FILMFREEWAY, FESTHOME, WFNC. Any other communications will be made by email;
c) directors/producers/distributors may submit ONLY ONE PROJECT to the Festival. Should two or more projects reach the Festival management, disqualification is foreseen;
IF YOU SUBMIT TWO WORKS OR MORE, YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED
d) for directors/producers/distributors from Iran, Pakistan, India, Russia and Ukraine, free registration is foreseen;
e) for the selected works, the material sent to the Festival will be distributed through the press, social networks (Facebook, Instagram) and the official website of the event;
f) The admitted works compete for the following prizes:
Best Leading Actor;
Best Supporting Actor;
Best Leading Actress;
Best Supporting Actress;
Best New Actor and Actress;
Best Direction;
Best Photography;
Best Soundtrack;
Best Editing;
Best Make-up;
Special Board Award;
Best Film;
Best Animated Film;
Best Documentary.
Since this year,the festival is establishing the Golden Castle Lifetime Achievement Award, a recognition that will be awarded to personalities who have distinguished themselves with their work and their passion in the film industry.
g) Other material uses
The winning works may be used (in whole or in part) by the Rivoli Film Festival organizers on digital or internet platforms (with authors indications and original authorship of the work) and in other areas (libraries, cultural centers local broadcasters) for proposals, meetings, debates for festival information purposes and proposed themes.
h) Acceptance Announcement
Participation in the competition implies the complete acceptance of this announcement.
For any disputes or controversies, refer to the competent court of Turin.

Il concorso è aperto a registi produttori e distributori di ogni ordine e grado, creativi esordienti. Al Festival sono ammessi:
a)cortometraggi con durata max. 20 minuti compresi titoli di testa e di coda;
b)cortometraggi no language max.20 minuti compresi di titoli di testa e di coda;
c)lungometraggi con durata min. 70 minuti compresi titoli di testa e di coda;
d)documentari (corti) durata max 20 minuti compresi titoli di testa e di coda;
e)documentari (lunghi) durata min. 45 minuti compresi titoli di testa e di coda.
f)Categoria “Fuori concorso”:
2 cortometraggi
2 documentari (1 lungo, 1 corto)
1 lungometraggio
NB: per la durata delle opere vedesi categorie in concorso.
LE OPERE CHE SI AGGIUDICHERANNO IL PREMIO PER IL MIGLIOR FILM E PER IL MIGLIOR DOCUMENTARIO AVRANNO DIRITTO ALL’ ACCESSO ALLA PRESELEZIONE PER GLI OSCAR.

3)Iscrizione al Festival
L’ iscrizione al Festival si deve effettuare esclusivamente tramite le piattaforme FILMFREEWAY, FESTHOME, WFCN e partiranno dal 24/12/2024.
L’ iscrizione prevede due deadline:
Prima deadline: 30/04/2025 - quota d’ iscrizione prevista 5 euro;
Seconda deadline: 30/06/2025 - quota d’ iscrizione prevista 10 euro;
Nel caso di ammissione alla selezione ufficiale è richiesto un contributo di segreteria pari a 10 euro ENTRO E NON OLTRE IL 15/08/2025 e si dovrà inviare alla direzione del Festival (segreteria.iffr@gmail.com) ENTRO E NON OLTRE LA STESSA DATA il seguente materiale:
a)file video del film in formato MOV, MP4 1920X1080;
b)file video del trailer del film in formato MOV, MP4, 1920X1080 (1 min. per le pellicole di durata max di 20 min; 2 min. Per lungometraggi e documentari lunghi);
c)N° 3 foto riguardanti il film in formato jpg;
d)locandina del film in formato jpg;
e)sinossi del film, max 1.000 caratteri.

Il produttore/regista nel bonifico dovrà scrivere nella causale sempre il nome del lavoro filmico.
4) Regolamento generale:
a) NON VERRANNO PRESE IN CONSIDERAZIONE OPERE DI CARATTERE PORNOGRAFICO, CON TEMATICHE ESTREMISTE IN CAMPO POLITICO E/O RELIGIOSO E CONTRARIE AL BUON COSTUME.
b) la commissione interna dell’ International Film festival di Rivoli, totalmente composta da operatori professionisti del settore cinematografico, stilerà la selezione ufficiale previo esame delle opere giunte in pre-selezione entro i termini prescritti. Il giudizio della commissione è insindacabile in questa come in tutte le fasi della manifestazione.
I registi/produzioni/distribuzioni riceveranno la comunicazione dell’ eventuale ammissione alla selezione ufficiale del Festival tramite FILMFREEWAY, FESTHOME, WFNC. Eventuali altre comunicazioni avverranno tramite email;
c) i registi/produttori/distributori potranno inviare al Festival UNA SOLA OPERA. Qualora dovessero giungere alla direzione del Festival DUE O PIÙ OPERE È PREVISTA LA SQUALIFICA;
d) per i registi/produttori/distributori provenienti da Iran, Pakistan, India, Russia e Ucraina è prevista l’ iscrizione gratuita;
e) per le opere selezionate è prevista la diffusione del materiale inviato al Festival tramite mezzo stampa, social network (Facebook, Instagram) e sito ufficiale della manifestazione;
f) Le opere ammesse concorrono ai seguenti premi:

Miglior Attrice e attore emergente;

Il festival istituisce da quest’ anno il Castello D’ Oro alla Carriera, riconoscimento che si conferirà a personalità che si sono distinte, con il loro lavoro e con la loro passione nel settore cinematografico.
g)Altri utilizzi materiale
I lavori vincitori potranno essere utilizzati (in tutto o in parte) dagli organizzatori dell’ International Film Festival di Rivoli su piattaforme digitali o internet (con indicazioni di autori e paternità originaria del lavoro filmico) e in altri ambiti (biblioteche, centri culturali emittenti locali) per proposte, incontri, dibattiti a fini divulgativi del festival e dei temi proposti.
h)Accettazione bando
La partecipazione al concorso implica la completa accettazione del presente Bando.
Per eventuali dispute o controversie si fa riferimento al foro di competenza di Torino.
Lo staff organizzativo dell’ International Film Festival Rivoli augura a tutte e tutti i partecipanti un anno fecondo di creatività e buon cinema.
