- In order to submit a film, you must own the rights or have permission from the owner.
- There is no completion date required.
- Any submitted film that is not in German or English must have English or German subtitles.
- Any film that is not in German must have English or German subtitles in order to be screened.
- Not all the submissions are selected for the official competition and it is up to the discretion of our Judges to make the decisions.
- Films that are not downloadable via Filmfreeway cannot be screened. Format must be HD, mp4 25f/s or DCP.
- A submission can be disqualified if some content is considered inappropriate, for example promotion of xenophobia, depiction of abuse of people or animals.
- Music videos need to have music played by people only visuals can be AI generated.
- Films can be submitted in multiple categories in order to become a multi-award film.
- By submitting your movie, you authorize us to use, distribute and share the poster, trailer, synopsis and movie stills in our social media, online and during the festival.
- By submitting your movie, you authorize us to use the film for screenings at the festival cinemas.
- Multiple submissions and multiple category submissions are accepted.
- The festival reserves the right to change the event's date and the date of the deadline for submissions.
- All fees are non-refundable.
- Submissions cannot be withdrawn after the official selection announcement of each round.
- The filmmaker has liability for any claims that may occur in result of screening the film either live or online.
