MISSION & OBJECTIVE
The Talassemtane Association for the Environment and Development (ATED), since its creation in 1996, has been working in the field of the environment through several projects. ATED is proud to collaborate with the local population and authorities on these projects, which aim to maximize human and material potential and create reliable and sustainable resources through income-generating activities. In this context, for citizens concerned about the fate of the planet, cinema can serve as a powerful medium for raising ecological awareness and promoting sustainable development. This is the main role assigned to the International Festival of Environmental Films: to inform, educate, and enlighten the public about the world as it is and the risks it faces. In the face of challenges and uncertainties, people react and act.
Environmental film has never been more relevant! As we are bombarded with images and information, we have never needed true benchmarks more. We need cinema that explores personalities in depth and seeks to unravel the complex phenomena of our time.
Increasingly, environmental films showcase initiatives, efforts, and solidarities aimed at making a difference, building a sustainable future, and respecting both people and nature. They present images from around the world, from the Arctic to the heart of Africa, from today’s challenges to the solutions of tomorrow.
THE OBJECTIVES OF THE FESTIVAL:
Our overall goal is to create a platform for exhibiting, exchanging, and reflecting on ideas through documentary or fictional films that raise awareness about the importance of caring for the environment.
