INDOGMA FILM FESTIVAL has its roots in the influential filmmaking movement called "Dogme 95." In 1995, Danish directors Lars von Trier and Thomas Vinterberg initiated Dogme 95 by creating the "Dogme 95 Manifesto" and the "Vows of Chastity." These guidelines emphasized traditional storytelling values, authentic acting, and thematic depth while excluding the use of elaborate special effects or technology. The movement aimed to empower directors as artists, reclaiming their creative control from the studios.

The fusion of the Dogme movement with its Indian origins gave rise to the name INDOGMA for this festival. It was conceived as an initiative by Mr. Chandan Mehta, an esteemed Indian Film Producer, Director, and owner of Cinemehta Production, along with Mr. Mukesh Gambhir, Director of Radio NGF, Palwal, Faridabad. Their vision was to create an international platform for short and feature filmmakers in India and around the world.

Since its inception in 2018, INDOGMA FILM FESTIVAL has grown to become a vibrant celebration of independent cinema, offering opportunities for emerging talents to showcase their work and connect with industry professionals. With a foundation rooted in the spirit of Dogme 95 and a commitment to nurturing creativity, the festival has become a significant event in the film industry.

Rules & Terms


Submission:

1. The winners will be honored with a winning certificate and trophy.
2. The film must be subtitled in English if the language is other than English and Hindi.
3. Year of production & accepted movie duration:
Year of production: January 2021 onward.
4. Previously entered Films which is submitted in IFF-2018 to 2023 are not eligible for participation in 2024.
5. The decision of the Jury will be final and can’t be challenged.
6. IFF-24 stages/process:
• Entry submission as per rules & regulations.
• Notification of shortlisted regular entries by the festival office.
• Delegate registration to attend IFF-24 at Faridabad (NCR). All filmmakers must have registered as delegates to attend the festival. Hospitality charges are applicable for filmmakers & attendees, which include lunch, tea/coffee with cookies & master classes.
• Festival movie screening & workshops followed by an award ceremony in Faridabad (NCR).
7. Indogma Film Festival does not take any type of financial commitment for the expense incurred on the correspondence by the participant. All Travel, Lodging & Boarding, and other miscellaneous expenses will have to be borne by the participant himself for attending the festival. No request for the same will be entertained.
8. Once the film is submitted can’t be withdrawn under any circumstances, however, the festival director reserves the right to disqualify any film on certain grounds.
9. By submitting the movie to the Indogma Film Festival, the filmmaker/producer takes the whole responsibility for copyright issues of music, script, and other creative and technical aspects of the film.

LEGAL IMPLICATIONS
Short films/Documentaries/ Music Videos/ Animation/ Web Series/ Feature Films (Indian or International) that are submitted must be the entrants’ original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
