Indie Night Film Festival is a weekly showcase which shows between 4-6 short films, web series, trailers or episodics on the big screen at the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood!

Dave Brown and Eriq La Salle were fans of the monthly short film showcase by Doboy Dozens and both had aspirations to produce a similar showcase do fill in the void left by absence of the show. INDIE NIGHT’s officially opened at the elegant Xen Lounge, owned by an independent supporter. The film & media showcase took place under the stars in Studio City on the patio of the venue. Often described as a new dinner theater experience; attendees ranged from actors, directors, producers, writers, composers, casting directors, and film school students.

We require that you market and aim to bring at least 35 guests to your screening and have the guest list emailed to us no later than the Friday prior to your screening date. As a filmmaker, one of your keys to success is marketing yourself and your product. Use this event as a formal opportunity for you to invite potential industry partners, agents, etc. Also, to get the word out, ask your cast and crew to each invite 5-10 people. Opt to make a Facebook event page and promote via Twitter and Instagram. Follow us @IndieNightFF and use #IndieNightFF to connect with us on social media. You are welcome to use the official flyer and Indie Night Official Selection laurels in your marketing.

There is no cover for the event but there is a venue-required 2 drink minimum at the door. Non-alcoholic ($14 for 2) and alcoholic beverages ($18 for 2) are available.

We need a 1080p DVD copy of your film no later than the Wednesday prior to your confirmed screening date. Please label the DVD with the title of your project, your showcase date, and your name. You can set up a mutually convenient drop off with the director or mail to the mailing address provided. Be sure that your DVD is standard and set at 1080p (if it can play on a BluRay player then it is perfect). Please note it does not have to be a BluRay disc, a standard DVD is fine. PLEASE test your disc before sending it to us. And bring an extra copy of your film with you on the day of your screening.

First and foremost, submitting your film to the Indie Night Film Festival in no way implies any ownership rights by Indie Night to the submitted film. You own your project. If you are approached by anyone to option your film as a result of being listed on our website or being screened at Indie Night, we do not take a cut of the deal. It is your film and all rights remain yours.

You can submit your film online. Only one film per application. If entering more than one film or episode of a webseries, you must submit each separately. Each project is judged solely on its merits.

Such and Amazing and Inspirational event. The host, DJ Q, was amazing and asked all the great questions to the filmmakers that the audience wanted to hear the answers to. Dave Brown was very hospitable and welcoming as well. Such a genius idea with warm environment and the networking after the show was a bonus. I suggest everyone attend this weekly film festival. So worth it!
