Ignacio Ascúa (1996, Santa Fe, Argentina) es cineasta y Diseñador de Imagen y Sonido por la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Su trabajo explora cruces entre cuerpo, territorio y política, desde formas híbridas entre documental y ensayo.
Produjo y coescribió el cortometraje documental Lo que perdí en el fuego, estrenado en la Competencia Oficial Argentina del Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente (BAFICI, 2019).
La mujer de fuego es su ópera prima. Actualmente cursa la especialidad de Fotografía en la Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), Cuba.

Ignacio Ascúa (1996, Santa Fe, Argentina) is a filmmaker and holds a degree in Image and Sound Design from the University of Buenos Aires. His work explores the intersections between body, territory, and politics through hybrid forms between documentary and essay film.
He produced and co-wrote the short documentary Lo que perdí en el fuego, which premiered in the Argentine Official Competition at the Buenos Aires Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente (BAFICI, 2019).
La mujer de fuego is his debut feature. He is currently specializing in Photography at the International Film and Television School of San Antonio de los Baños (EICTV), Cuba.
