INQRVENTION is a film festival and manifesto, the resistance of guerrilla cinema and street cinema, codifying culture inside QRCODES.
Welcome to our festival, the pioneer QRCODED Cinema Festival.
INQRVENTION is a project that started in 2020, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The objective of the coded itinerant film fesival and street installation is to attract the public to strategic locations where big murals full of QRcodes will be set. — Each unique personalized code has encripyted audiovisual: film works, videoarts, digital arts and visual arts. The main concept behind the festival is to use art as the attraction of the QRcode, generally used for transactions involving money, purchasing and capitalism.
Our first intervention took place at the famous Centro Cultural Ocupa 63: the biggest cultural occupation in Latin America, we procceded to the streets of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, then Europe in Oporto, Portugal, Valencia, Spain, & North Africa in Casablanca and Fes, Morocco.
Our latest INQRVENTION took place in Barcelona, Spain at Filmoteca de Catalunya & Jardin de les 3 Xemeneies (also known as Barcelona's Graffiti Park)
In March of 2023, we did a special INQRVENTION installation in Lisbon, Portugal during the FEMFEST at Fábrica Braço de Prata (The FEMFEST INQRVENTION with QRCODES of only women, cis & trans and non-binary artists)

CATEGORIES:
Regular: One INQRVENTION per submission, if approved, your work will be displayed in the next INQRVENTION country/city one time.
SPECIAL QR: The artists selected at the SPECIAL QR selection will have their works displayed in ALL interventions, in EVERY country we pass for a whole year!
Send us your work and choose the category that best suits you.
After the selection, the artist will be notified, they will receive their personalized QR code & Official Laurel and the coordinates of the place where the intervention took place.
We are also developing a certificate of participation in a group exhibition to be produced soon, we are a independent festival looking for more support of institutions to keep it alive, if you're interested in hosting us to install and collab in your event/festival as partners, let us know here inqrvention@gmail.com :)
