IFFSA Toronto is the largest South Asian film festival in North America, and a pioneer initiative devoted to the development, promotion and celebration of South Asian cinematic arts and talent in Canada. In its 14th year now, the festival has become an international icon and the voice of South Asian cinema in Canada.

With it’s mission to build South Asian Canadian narrative through cinematic arts, this extravaganza showcases a diverse selection of the best films from Canada and around the world, on themes of South Asian cultures and identities.

In addition, the festival features red carpet premieres, gala celebrations, musical performances, dance presentations, audience interactions, forums, panel discussions, workshops, masterclasses and various networking opportunities. Both celebrated and emerging creatives, film stars and film professionals from around the world attend the festival.

The festival programming maintains a balance of tone, and aims to create an entertaining buzz while simultaneously starting a conversation with the audiences.

Over the years, IFFSA Toronto has transformed itself into an institution with year round operations. Together with its sister initiatives, including IFFSA Talent Fund, IFFSA Filmmakers Assemble, and Workshop & Masterclass Learning Series, IFFSA has built an eco-system to help bring forward the South Asian stories more accurately and fairly, and share these compelling experiences with Canadians.

IFFSA Toronto 2026 will be held from Oct 08 to 18.
