2026 COMPETITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Art. 1 – Ruah Cooperative announces the 20th edition of IFF-Integrazione Film Festival, an international competition of short fiction and documentary films around the theme of integration between people of different cultural backgrounds.
Sponsored by Ruah Cooperative in collaboration with Lab 80 film and a network of other organizations, it will take place in Bergamo on May 12-16, 2026.
Art. 2 – The types of films we welcome :
● Those that document aspects of realities that may be multicultural, multilingual or multi-religious;
● Those that portray experiences of coexistence, made possible by an open dialogue, based on a shared understanding of one another and capable of existing despite any dissension.
● Those that represent:
- Inclusion experiences that take into account the multitude of existing points of view and give space to the will of individuals and communities to self-determine, recognising and valuing their own being, their culture, their traditions and those of others;
- Mixed identities insofar as they are the result of multiple belonging (cultural, linguistic, religious, gender, generational, etc.), but also exist as a whole in order to be a protagonist subject;
- Intercultural Interactions and intersectionality, i.e. meeting each other, recognising the value of each person, in an active effort to learn, recognise, respect and accept those we consider different from us in our environment.
In our logo, 3 immovable dots meet on the letter “I” of Integration, the key-word and the heart of the Festival. Around it, the space to develop all the nuances of a complex and long-term process.
Art. 3 - The 20th edition of IFF-Integrazione Film Festival is divided into the following sections:
● Competition for documentaries with a maximum runtime of 60 minutes.
● Competition for works of fiction of all genres with a maximum runtime of 30 minutes.
Works must be completed after January 1st 2023 to be admitted. The Committee reserves the right to consider works completed before January 1st 2023 and to include them in the “Out of competition” programme.
Works that have been presented in other national or international Festivals will be accepted. Works entered in previous editions of the Festival will not be admitted.
Admission to the Contest is decided unquestionably by the Festival Management.
Authors and/or producers will be notified of selection or exclusion by the end of February 2026.
Art. 4 - Works admitted to the International Contest will be judged by an especially appointed Juries that will award the following Prizes:
• For fiction short films: 1000 euros to the Best Short Film.
• For documentaries: 1000 euros to the Best Documentary.
The juries reserve the right to assign special mentions. The juries also reserve the right not to award the aforementioned prizes.
Audience Award: The audience will also be invited to express their preference. The winner wil be awarded the IFF-Integrazione Film Festival plaque.
Best Acting: the juries will assign a prize for the best performance of an actor/actress in the films in competition.
Art. 5 - Films must be submitted for selection to IFF-Integrazione Film Festival no later than January 31st 2026, through https://filmfreeway.com/IFF-IntegrazioneFilmFestival.
Submission fees are as follows:
• 5€ for films submitted by Dicember 10th 2025 (early bird)
• 10€ for films submitted by January 31st 2026 (regular deadline)
For Italian films, please insert the information on FilmFreeway in Italian.
Art. 6 - Registration to the festival entails the following authorizations:
● To screen the work during the live event and, in case, on the Festival’s online streaming platform on the same days as the lives screenings from May 12-16, 2026;
● The use of excerpts of the selected works for a maximum length of 2’ (or 10% of the entire length for short films) for television broadcast or streaming exclusively for promotional and not commercial purposes;
● To screen the work for non-profit educational and cultural activities organized by IFF-Integrazione Film Festival and Ruah Cooperative.
Art. 7 - The owners of the selected works must make a screening copy available (formats: DCP, Blu Ray, File HD) to the Festival no later than March 15th 2026:
● By digital upload at info@iff-filmfestival.com
For all non-Italian language films, an English or Italian subtitled version must be provided, accompanied by the dialogue list in text format (.srt).
Art. 8 – The selected films of the 20th edition are invited to include the official logo of the Festival selection - and eventually the Award’s one - in the end credits, on promotional materials and on websites. The official logo will be sent by email.
Art. 9 - Submitting an application to enter the Festival entails the acceptance of all the rules in these Regulations. It is the responsibility of authors, producers, distributors or other individuals who present the film to be legitimately authorized to register the film at the festival. The participants are responsible for the quality and intactness of the file sent, as well as the legitimate ownership of the images and soundtracks used, or of the use of them in compliance with the law.
The Artistic Direction has the right to resolve all cases not provided for by these Regulations, as well as to derogate in the event of particular cases that are properly justified.
For any objections on the meaning of the single articles of the Regulations, the original Italian text shall be exclusively considered legally binding.
The Court of Bergamo is the competent court of jurisdiction for any disputes.

BANDO 2026
Art. 1 - È indetta la 20a edizione di IFF- Integrazione Film Festival, concorso internazionale di cortometraggi di finzione e film documentari capaci di raccontare l’integrazione tra persone di diversa appartenenza culturale.
Promosso da Cooperativa Ruah con Lab 80 film e una rete di altri enti, si terrà a Bergamo dal 12 al 16 maggio 2026.
Art. 2 - Possono essere iscritti film che:
● Documentino aspetti della realtà multiculturale, multi linguistica e multi religiosa;
● Raccontino esperienze di convivenza possibile perché aperte al dialogo, basate sul confronto
reciproco e capaci di so-stare nei conflitti;
● Rappresentino:
− esperienze di inclusione che tengano conto della moltitudine dei punti di vista esistenti e che diano spazio alla volontà dei singoli e delle comunità di autodeterminarsi,
riconoscendo e valorizzando il proprio essere, la propria cultura, le proprie tradizioni e
quelle altrui;
− Le Identità “miste” (mixed) in quanto frutto di molteplici appartenenze (culturali,
linguistiche, religiose, di genere, generazionali, ecc.), ma Integre per poter essere
soggetto protagonista;
− Interazioni Interculturali, cioè incontrarsi reciprocamente, riconoscendo il valore di ogni persona, nello sforzo attivo di apprendere, riconoscere, rispettare e accettare chi
consideriamo diverso da noi e chi ci sta davanti.
3 punti fermi posizionati nel logo sulla I di Integrazione, parola chiave e perno del Festival intorno alla quale sviluppare tutte quelle sfumature proprie di un processo complesso e a lungo termine.
Art. 3 - La 20a edizione di IFF- Integrazione Film Festival si articola nelle seguenti sezioni:
● Concorso internazionale per documentari della durata massima di 60 minuti.
● Concorso internazionale per opere di finzione di ogni genere della durata massima di 30 minuti.
Sono ammesse opere terminate dopo il 1° gennaio 2023. La commissione si riserva di prendere in considerazione opere precedenti alla data del 1° gennaio 2023 da inserire fuori concorso nel programma del Festival.
Possono partecipare opere già presentate in altri festival nazionali e internazionali.
Non sono ammesse alla selezione le opere già iscritte alle precedenti edizioni di IFF.
L'ammissione al Concorso è deliberata insindacabilmente dalla Direzione del Festival.
Gli autori e/o i produttori delle opere ammesse, come di quelle escluse, saranno informati entro la fine di febbraio 2026.
Art. 4 - Le opere ammesse saranno valutate da giurie appositamente costituite che assegneranno i seguenti Premi:
• Premio di 1.000 euro al miglior cortometraggio di finzione.
• Premio di 1.000 euro al miglior documentario.
Le giurie si riservano di assegnare particolari Menzioni Speciali; inoltre si riservano la possibilità di non assegnare i suddetti premi.
Premio del pubblico: il pubblico presente in sala agli eventi di proiezione sarà invitato ad esprimere il proprio vincitore.
Premio per la migliore interpretazione: le giurie assegneranno un premio per la performance di migliore interpretazione.
Art. 5 - La partecipazione alla selezione del Festival IFF- Integrazione Film Festival deve avvenire tramite iscrizione da effettuare entro e non oltre il 31 gennaio 2026 attraverso la piattaforma https://filmfreeway.com/IFF-IntegrazioneFilmFestival.
Il costo per l’iscrizione alla piattaforma è di:
-5€ per i film che si iscrivono entro il 10 dicembre 2025 (early bird)
-10€ per i film che si iscrivono entro e non oltre il 31 gennaio 2026 (regular deadline)
Per i film italiani si richiede di inserire le informazioni in FilmFreeway in lingua italiana.
Art. 6 - L’iscrizione al festival comporta l’autorizzazione:
● Alla proiezione dell’opera durante le giornate dell’evento in sala e sul sito/piattaforma del Festival durante i giorni delle proiezioni in sala dal 12 al 16 maggio 2026;
● Di utilizzare estratti delle opere selezionate per una durata massima di 2' (o il 10% dell'intera durata nel caso dei cortometraggi) per la messa in onda televisiva o in rete a scopi esclusivamente promozionali e non commerciali;
● Alla proiezione per attività didattiche e culturali, senza fini di lucro, organizzate, oltre la
19esima edizione, da IFF-Integrazione Film Festival e Cooperativa Ruah.
Art. 7 - I titolari delle opere selezionate per i concorsi dovranno far pervenire al Festival le copie di proiezione delle opere (in formato: DCP, Blu Ray, File HD) non oltre il 15 marzo 2026:
● Via upload digitale all’indirizzo info@iff-filmfestival.com Per tutti i film in lingua non italiana selezionati dovrà essere fornita una versione sottotitolata in
italiano o in inglese, corredata di lista dei dialoghi in formato testo (.srt).
Art. 8 - I film selezionati alla 20a edizione sono invitati a indicare nei titoli di testa, sui materiali promozionali e su eventuali siti web, il logo ufficiale della selezione del Festival e l’eventuale Premio attribuito. Il logo ufficiale verrà inviato tramite mail.
Art. 9 - L'inoltro della domanda d'iscrizione al Festival comporta l'accettazione di tutte le norme contenute nel presente Regolamento. È responsabilità di autori, produttori, distributori o altri soggetti che presentano il film di essere legittimamente autorizzati ad iscrivere il film al festival.
I partecipanti stessi saranno responsabili della qualità e dell'integrità del file inviato, nonché della legittima proprietà delle immagini e delle colonne sonore utilizzate, o dell'uso delle stesse a norma di legge.
La Direzione artistica ha il diritto di dirimere tutti i casi non previsti dal presente Regolamento, nonché di derogare dallo stesso in casi particolari e adeguatamente motivati.
Per ogni eventuale contestazione sul significato dei singoli articoli del Regolamento fa fede esclusivamente il testo originale in lingua italiana.
Per ogni eventuale controversia è competente il Foro di Bergamo.
