Although I wasn't able to make it this year, I am grateful for the welcome I received regarding my film and the constant communication (via emails and Zoom meetings) perpetuated by the Festival Director Mikel. I hope my next film gets in so I can show up in person!

  • Houston Comedy is a pretty unique film festival. There are some festivals that have Comedy categories, but not many that specialize only in comedy.

With the pandemic having been in effect, Mikel Fair and his team did a wonderful job in giving filmmakers options to postpone or shuffle dates, and because of this allowed me to be able to see my film Metro6 in theatre for one of the first times after a 13 month delay from our original premiere.

In a year+ where we can all benefit from a good smile, thank goodness this exists!
