「香港國際紀錄片節」前身為「華語紀錄片節」，自2008年創立，迄今已舉辦十三屆。為推動香港紀錄片文化進一步發展，影展於2019年升格為國際紀錄片節，除了「華語紀錄片競賽」單元外，亦增加一系列的國際作品，希望令影展更多元化，亦藉此擴闊觀眾視野。

「采風」於2004年成立，為香港藝術發展局資助之非牟利團體，多年來致力推廣紀錄片藝術。

Founded in 2004, Visible Record is a non-profit arts organization, which has dedicated itself to promoting documentaries. In 2008, Visible Record founded the annual Chinese Documentary Festival in Hong Kong. It is the world's first annual film festival to focus on Pan-Chinese documentaries and is an important exchange platform for Pan-Chinese documentaries. Chinese Documentary Festival has upgraded to Hong Kong International Documentary Festival from 2019.

Rules & Terms

1. 作品如曾在香港電視頻道播映、或以DVD發行、或上載至網上供公開觀看，均不能參賽。
2. 本機構將於2021年8月30日個別通知評選結果。所有入圍影片（1）不可取消報名或撤回，及（2）不得於影展結束前在香港以任何形式作其他公開放映。如有違反規定，本機構保留追究有關損失的權利。
3. 主辦機構及評審團有權取消違例作品之參賽資格。
4. 不論同意網上放映與否，均不影響入圍機會。

1. Films are ineligible if they have been commercially released on DVD, available online for public viewing, or publicly broadcast on any TV channels in Hong Kong.

2. The list of finalists will be announced by late August 2021. Once the film is nominated, it is not allowed to be withdrawn from the competition and no other public screening in Hong Kong is permitted before the end of the Festival. In case of violation of the above clauses, the organizers reserve the right to claim compensation for damages caused by entrant.

3. The organizers and the jury have the right to disqualify any entrant due to violation of the regulations.

4. Your decision about posting your film online will not affect your chance of selection.
